How to repair a drum brake (accessory kit)
How to repair a drum caliper using our repair kit.
- Remove the outside of the drum
- Once we have the inside uncovered, release the pins connecting the drum shoe assembly. Remove pins and spring while retaining plates
- Separate the spring-shoe assembly from drum
- Release all the springs in order: 1, 2, 3, 4
- Replace the springs by placing them in the order: 4, 3, 1, 2
- Place the set on the drum. Tie it back with the pins
- Close the drum
